Low-Iron Solar Glass

Low-iron, high-transmission patterned solar glass with tempered or heat-strengthened construction and optional coating.

Available as fully tempered coated front glass, heat-strengthened coated front glass or heat-strengthened back glass for photovoltaic modules.

Technical specifications: Common thicknesses: 1.6, 1.8, 2.0, 2.5, 2.8 and 3.2 mm. Iron content: no more than 150 ppm. Surface stress: at least 90 MPa for fully tempered glass; 24–55 MPa for heat-strengthened glass. Glass at least 3.0 mm thick withstands thermal shock from 0–200°C; thinner glass withstands 0–100°C.
